Kaula Bandar Baseline Needs Assessment (2008)
In this initial study (funded by the Ford Foundation), PUKAR researchers engaged in an extensive Baseline Needs Assessment of health problems in the community by implementing a 92 question survey on nearly 1000 households.The survey documented livelihood, assets, income, access to key government documents, access to schools, access to water supply, access to sanitation, hygiene practices, the prevalence of common diseases, and mortality, among other issues. Small snapshots of data from this study are presented in the two tables below.
